Day 1- Offer accepted.. the countdown begins

Hello! Welcome to our blog. *The Nash Family* ... it's our blog... but basically me (Kathy) writing it. I hope you enjoy it. It's our journey of closing on a new home. Not just any home but a home for our son Owen... and potentially, his future siblings. It's a home where we will grow our marriage, our family, and our dreams.  Cheers to our new journey... scary and exciting!

On Thursday, October 4th we signed the papers for 2155 Oak Court.. and we sent our offer in via fax.

On Friday, October 5th the sellers received our offer... they countered by coming down an astonishing (sarcastic) $2,000.  We immediately countered again and crossed our fingers that are 2nd offer would be accepted.

On Saturday, October 6th we heard back from the sellers. They countered again. They came down $4,000. We countered again later that afternoon to a very strong 2% less asking.

On Sunday, October 7th  the sellers came down $6,000. We came up again $500. The sellers then stuck their guns so we had to decide if we would walk or sign. Our realtor said she'd pick up the 2nd year renewal of the home warranty to get the deal done. That night, at 8:00 p.m. we concluded negotiations and we officially agreed upon a purchase price.

5 days for the home inspector to review. 5 days for our attorney to review. Tick tock!

Soon we are getting our home inspection completed by BrickKickers...
